Following is a sampling of the awards and recognition Alice has received with serving the residents of Adams County:

Alice is the second woman to be elected to the Board of Adams County Commissioners. She follows in the footsteps of her first cousin, the late Elaine T. Valente, the first woman elected who served for 16 years.

Alice's husband, Ron, served on the Board from 1983-1986.  In 2007 the couple was jointly recognized by the Colorado Counties, Inc. for their support to the citizens and counties while serving their respective terms as Commissioner.
